Transferring business ownership is a complex process. Summit Business Advisors has a team approach and guides clients through the intricacies of each phase of the business transaction. Our team consists of Pat Bentley, Dana Amadon, and Herbert Smithwww. Pat Bentley holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and is a member of, and has been awarded the Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) designation from, the International Business Brokers Association. He is also a member of the Colorado Association of Business Intermediaries, and is a licensed Colorado real estate broker. Pat is now in his 9th year of brokering businesses. Prior to business brokerage, he spent twenty-five years as a marketing executive for Apple Computer, IBM, Texas Instruments, and Intuit.
Pat loves sports and participates in local adult soccer and basketball programs. He also enjoys hiking, skiing, mountain biking as well as reading and gardening.
Dana Amadon graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in Business. He has over twenty years of hands-on experience operating and managing his own insurance business. Three of those years he won national awards for being in the TOP 5% of his company's sales force. He was in the Top 10% for another seven of those years. His sales skills along with his integrity ensure that the core goals of his clients are not only identified but achieved.
Dana is an avid sports fan and multi-sport athlete, and in his spare time he enjoys hiking in the Rocky Mountains, mountain biking, movies, and traveling, especially to historic sites, and out-of-the-way locales. He has visited each of the fifty states, and probably has another trip in the planning stage at this moment.
Herbert Smith graduated with degrees in applied mathematics and theoretical physics from Penn State University and New Mexico State University. He has over twenty-five years of experience in corporate and personal financial planning. Herb managed a trust department for a major Texas bank, and served as Senior Vice President in charge of trust asset management and investments for a financial services firm. Also, he has owned, operated and sold three small businesses.
When not in the office, Herb can often be found motorcycling in the Rocky Mountains, stopping to photograph the views and wildlife along the way.
